Twenty-four local students were chosen Jan. 11 to compete to be a 2024 Southern Pine Electric Co-op Youth Tour representative.

Students were chosen by faculty members of their respective schools, based on academic achievements and extracurricular achievements, according to a release.

Students selected by their schools to participate in the youth tour included: Myles Johnson, T.R. Miller High School; Bycelind Jones, J.F. Shields High School; Marley Bodine, Monroe County High School; Harper Harrison, Flomaton High School; Henry Scott, Hillcrest High School; Justin Wedel, Escambia Academy; Charlino Johnson, Escambia County High School; Paisley Donaldson, EA; Ashley Parra, ECHS; Lawson Gross, J.U. Blacksher High School; Jackson King, W.S.
