Ernest Ray “Ernie” Walker Jr., 52, of Rabun, passed away on Jan. 22, 2024 in Mobile.

He was born on June 23, 1971 in Atmore to Earnest Ray Walker Sr. and Patricia Porter Walker.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Porter Walker.

He is survived by his father, Earnest Ray Walker Sr.; his sons, Andrew Walker of Rabun and Tyler Walker of Rabun; his daughter, Ashley Walker of Rabun; his brother, Michael (Monica) Walker of Bay Minette; his grandchildren, Lakilyn West, Madilyn Walker and Serenity West; and his niece and nephew, Lauren and Landen Walker.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 26, 2024 at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God in Rabun with Bro. Randall Short officiating. Interment followed in Dean’s Cemetery in Rabun.

Active pallbearers were Billy Perry, Chris Perry, Jackson Porter, Dewayne Shiver, Dennis Taylor and Chris Hadley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with funeral expenses.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
