Habitat for Humanity to hold community event March 21

Escambia County Habitat for Humanity is holding a community event presenting “Lover Her Well” with author and speaker Kari Kampakis on March 21 at T.R. Miller High School.

The event will last from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Kampakis is an author, podcaster and national speaker from Birmingham. Her bestselling books for moms and teen girls have been used widely across the country for small groups studies, according to officials.

Kampakis’ work has been featured on Focus on the Family, Bethany Hamilton’s ‘Ohana Program, the “Today” show and other national outlets.

Kampakis also hosts the “Girl Mom” podcast. She and her husband, Harry, have four daughters and a dog, Lola.

The agenda for the event includes eating and mingling a light dinner in the cafeteria from 5:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.; a group talk from 6 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.; a ladies talk and girl talk and cookie decorating from 7 p.m. until 7:45 p.m.; and a book signing at 7:45 p.m.
