Judson Lee was honored Feb. 25 during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor celebration at First United Methodist Church in Atmore.

Lee completed his Eagle Scout project by building a storage box, and adding a sand base to the Gaga Ball Pit at FUMC in August 2023.

Lee began his scouting journey in 2011 with Pack No. 275 in Atmore. In Cubs, he earned his Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos rank.

As a Webelos, he earned his Arrow of Light. He then transitioned over to Troop No. 26, earning his Tenderfoot in July 2017, second class in October 2017 and became a first class scout in September 2017.

Lee then transferred to Troop No. 31, where he was voted into the Order of the Arrow, which is scouting’s honor society.

Lee held multiple leadership positions in his OA Chapter. He earned Star Rank in October 2019 and Life in May of 2021.

He was awarded his Eagle Scout in November 2023 and celebrated this accomplishment with the Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Feb. 25.

Each rank earned in scouting requires that a scout put in many nights of overnight camping with their troop, earn a required amount of merit badges, complete community services hours, serve in a leadership position in the troop, teach younger scouts skills and apply the scout law to their everyday living, Lee’s mom, Cindy said.

Lee has completed each of these requirements as he has attended summer camp, camp outs, merit badge clinic and scout events. He has served in leadership roles in the troop such as patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader.

Lee has earned 34 merit badges, 21 of which are required for Eagle.
