Deliverance Childcare and Learning Academy announced recently its participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

The program is administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and provides nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults in childcare centers, family day care homes and adult day care centers, according to a release.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the Child and Adult Care Food Program,” Deliverance Childcare and Learning Academy Director Tonja Williams said in a release. “By participating in this program, we can ensure that the children and adults in our care receive nutritious meals that support their overall well being. We believe that access to healthy food is essential for growth, development and overall health, and we are proud to be able to provide this service to our community.”
According to a release, the CACFP ensures that eligible participants receive meals that meet the USDA’s nutritional guidelines, including a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins.
