NHS girls top Choctawhatchee; Chiefs fall to Flomaton at home

Northview split in softball and baseball action against Choctawhatchee and Flomaton, respectively, tonight in Bratt, Fla.

The Lady Chiefs defeated the Lady Indians 4-1, and the boys fell 7-2 to the Hurricanes.

Jamison Gilman, Chloe Ragsdale and Makayla Golson had two hits each to lead the Lady Chiefs.

Ragsdale and Golson had an RBI each in the effort. Riley Brooks added one RBI while getting a hit. Kylee Langham had one hit and added an RBI.

Mikayla McAnnally and Gilman led NHS on the mound.

Gilman pitched 2.0 innings and struck out six, while McAnally struck out five in 3.0 innings.

Gabbi Barnowsky led CHS with two hits.

In other softball action, Satsuma defeated Escambia County 15-0.

Flomaton’s River Ramer had seven strikeouts and allowed two runs on four hits in a complete game to help lead the Hurricanes to victory.

Ramer also went 2-for-4 with one RBI behind the plate. Jakson Newton also went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Dexter Smoker went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run; Gavyn Tieppo went 0-for-3 with an RBI and a run; Braden Nall went 1-for-3 with an RBI; Ross Bell went 1-for-3 with an RBI; and Martin went 1-for-3 with a run.

Northview’s Wyatt Scruggs went 2-for-2 with a run to lead the Chiefs. Dane King and Colby Pugh went 1-for-3 each.

In other baseball action, T.R. Miller defeated Escambia County 5-1.
