Atmore Police Department officials said this morning that traffic is being rerouted on Highway 21 between Fountain Correctional Facility and Wayside Road due to a traffic accident.

According to the APD, the accident involved multiple vehicles and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the accident.

Officials said to avoid the area.
