An Atmore man and woman were arrested April 8 on multiple drug charges, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Veronica Gardner, 56, and Floyd Gardner, 62, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said the APD’s narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Jack Springs Road on the day of the arrest.
“During the search of the residence, the officers discovered 9 grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, 2 grams of marijuana, multiple glass pipes with various types of residue, a digital scale, marijuana grinder and various items used for the consumption of narcotics,” McMann said in a release.
The Gardners were then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
