Patricia “Patsy” Luverne Amon, 81, of Atmore, passed away on April 10, 2024. Patricia was born in Davisville Fla., to Robert Luverne Smith and Maggie Pearl Comalander Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Amon of Georgia; two daughters, Patricia Bryars Vaughn of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Rita Bryars of Panama City, Fla.; one great-granddaughter, Kyla Charles; and her four sisters, Betty House, Linda Greer, Sherry Powell and Lanette Smith.

She is survived by three daughters, Jackie (Danny) Gregg of Panama City, Becky Angeles of Walnut Hill, and Cathy Bryars of Repton; one son, Henery (Bill) Pugh of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Glenda Morgan of Byrneville, Fla. and Peggy Johnson of Georgia; and four brothers, Ronald Smith (Wanda) of Florida, Roy Smith (Linda) of Texas, Roger Smith (Maybelline) of Texas and Ray Smith (Mena) of Texas.

Funeral services were held on April 14, 2024 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lewis Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Godwin Cemetery in Bratt.

Active pallbearers were Byron Vaughn, Kevin Vaughn, Derek Parker, Derek Angeles, Daniel Gregg, David Gregg and Ryan Gregg.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
