Tickets are $12 each and available at the door or online at gecarts.org. There will be a short intermission and all concessions are $1.50.

Directed by Scotty White, this riotously funny Southern style comedy involves three mischievous cousins who, bent on hosting the annual family reunion, resort to criminal tactics to win a ‘best red velvet cake’ bet with the matriarch of the family amidst chaos and a failing A/C on the hottest day in July in the middle of Texas tornado season. The ensuing mayhem will leave the audience in tears of laughter. There is some adult humor.

The cast members by character are: Nancy Richardson as Cee Cee Windham; Courtney Jade Bonie as Gaynelle Verdeen Bodeen; Teresa Embry as LaMerle Verdeen Minshew; Tom Jeter as Aubrey Verdeen; Charity Strength as Jimmie Wyvette Verdeen; Anna Donald as Peaches Verdeen Belrose; Malary Goldman as Bitsy Hargis/Mama Doll Hargis; Vinson Ollie Jaye as Newt Blaylock; Gene Embry as Sheriff Grover Lout/Purvis Verdeen; and Gretchen McPherson as Elsa Dowdell.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Additionally, auditions for the summer production of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at GECA. Male and female roles for children ages 6 and up, plus some adult roles available. Performances set for mid to late June.

GECA is located at 100 S. Trammell St. in Atmore.
