DeWayne Hollingsworth, 80, passed away on Tues., April 16, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Bessie Hollingsworth; daughter, Tanga Rena Hollingsworth; great-granddaughter, Addison Yvonne; sister, Thelma Heathcock; and brother, Eldred Hollingsworth.
Mr. Hollingsworth is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Lambert Hollingsworth of Enon, Fla.; three sons, Ronald (Barbara) Hollingsworth of Enon, Robert Hollingsworth of Enon and Russell (Suzanne) Hollingsworth of Beulah, Fla.; daughter, Rachael (Marty) Hamilton of Enon; brother, Paul Hollingsworth of Robertsdale; 10 grandchildren, Kimberly, David (Nina), Kelly (Curtis), Crystal (Nathan), Rena, Bessie, Kourtnei, Dalton (Grace) and Caitlyn, Hannah; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way, Tatum, Austin, Lane, Colton, Nathan, Kharrington, Brody, Hayden, Tucker and Riktarios; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Mon., April 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC with Brother Alton Lister and Paul Hollingsworth officiating.
Burial will follow at Hollingsworth Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on April 28, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC.
Pallbearers will be Brian Hall, Scott Frances, John Heathcock, Shawn O’Conner, Colton James, Wesley Wiggins, Michael Lambert and Chris Singleton.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC of Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
