A Fountain Correctional Facility security staff member was arrested May 1 for promoting prison contraband, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.

According to ADOC officials, Shemira Jackson was arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband III.
Officials said the incident in question occurred on April 29 and was discovered while reviewing video footage.
The ADOC’s Law Enforcement Services Division is still investigating the incident, and further charges may be pending.
Jackson was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
