Beautiful and warm weather complimented the 2024 edition of Mayfest on May 4 at Tom Byrne Park in Atmore.

More than 85 vendors were featured at the annual festival, which drew a steady crowd from area residents.

During the festival, the 2024 Miss Mayfest winners were recognized; the annual Beautiful Baby Contest was held; the Heather Leonard Dance Works put on a few dances; Jason Crysell sang to the crowds for entertainment; the Limitless Twirlers of Lower Alabama tossed and grabbed batons for the attentive crowd; and Kris Stewart played recognized songs for the music lovers present.

Winners of the Beautiful Baby Contest included by age and gender:

• Under 1 year old – Charlie Geck, boy; and Ronni Kayte Nicole Rolin, girl

• 1 year old – Ezra Kirkland, boy; and Mazleigh Price, girl

• 2 year old – Jaheen Durant Jr., boy; and Charleigh Grace Green, girl

• 3 year old – Jaxson Alexander, boy; and Anna Joe Marie Amerson, girl

Additionally, the 2024 Mayfest Softball Tournament was held Friday night and throught the day and night on Saturday.

Team Not to Serious were crowned the softball tournament champions.
