Architects will provide building addition updates during a public meeting at Huxford Elementary School next Wed., May 15, at 1 p.m.

Principal Leah Fuqua said the architectural firm of PH&J Architects will hold the presentation to highlight the details of the new addition.

Fuqua said Escambia County School System Superintendent Dr. Michele Collier, Assistant Superintendent George Brown and Deputy of Operations and Facilities Shaun Goolsby are going to be present.

“I anticipate this meeting will be well attended by community members and will be standing room only in our auditorium,” Fuqua said in an email. “This addition has been many, many years in the making and it is truly a dream realized for our children and our community. As the principal of our precious school, I am beyond thrilled.”

The meeting will be held in the HES auditorium and is open to the public.
