Escambia Academy senior Caitlin Lanham signed to play softball at the University of Mobile today during a ceremony at the Canoe school.

Lanham, the daughter of Mitchell and Stacey Lanham, joins her sister, Lily, on the Lady Rams’ squad.

“This has been a dream of mine for the last two years,” Lanham said. “I never knew where I wanted to go.”
Lanham said it took a trip watching her sister compete at UM that helped solidify her decision.

“Over the past two years, I put in so much work,” she said.

Lanham thanked her family, and her parents for their support and help putting her dream first.

Current and former coaches spoke about Lanham during the ceremony.

EA softball coach Brittany Parker said she’s proud of Lanham, and saw her grow on the softball field.

“I know this is her dream college,” Parker said. “And I know that she’ll give 110 percent on the field.”

Lanham’s father said Lanham’s one of the toughest players he’s had the privilege to coach.

“I’m excited to see her play at the next level,” he said.
