BCSO takes Bay Minette man into custody, charges him with murder after Stockton shooting

A Bay Minette man was taken into custody May 16 and charaged with murder in connection with the shooting in Stockton, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the BCSO, Ty’Quan T. French, 19, has been charged with murder.

BCSO officials said on May 11, deputies responded to reports of gunshots in the Stockton Community.

“Several people were shot and injured during the shooting,” officials said. “Unfortunately, three victims subsequently passed away as a result of the wounds sustained during the incident.”

BCSO officials said multiple divisions and units within the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office have continued to work since Saturday on the investigation.

“With the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, we have saturated north Baldwin County in an effort to follow up on and develop new leads,” officials said. “That hard work has paid off. Within the last two days, we developed enough information to identify and secure an arrest warrant for Tyquan French, 19.”

BCSO officials said their job isn’t done as they’ll continue to give their best effort as they sift through the facts of the case.

“We want to thank those who have come forward with information; however, we still need help from witnesses and victims who attended this event to close this investigation,” officials said.

Some two days ago, the BCSO announced the arrest of Robert G. Brown, who has been charged with assault I in connection to the shooting.

Eighteen victims were identified as a result of the shooting.
