APL’s annual Summer Reading Program begins June 7

Atmore Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is right around the corner.

The theme for this year is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.”
The program is held each Friday in June at 10 a.m., and children of all ages are welcome to attend, according to library officials.

Children ages 5 to 12 years old are able to participate in the reading contest.

Each Friday, an entertainer will delight the children, encouraging them about the importance of reading.

The entertainers list includes by date:

  • June 7: Poodle Show
  • June 14: Wild West Rope Show
  • June 21: Animal Tales
  • June 28: Awards Day/Petting Zoo
