An Atmore man was taken into custody and charged with murder, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Fred Dale, 61, was taken into custody without incident and charged with murder.

McMann said at approximately 4:05 a.m. today, APD officers responded to the 100 block of Terrace Street in response to a domestic related shooting.
