A free fraud summit was held at the Atmore Senior Center on May 29.
The summit was held to provide tips and resources for protecting yourself and loved ones from scammers and fraud criminals.
Topics at the summit included the top scams of 2023 and how to protect yourself; government imposters, veteran scams, romance scams and identity theft; investment fraud, cryptocurrency and pig butchering; and medicare scams.
The summit was presented by the Area Agency on Aging, Alabama Securities Commission, AARP Alabama and the Better Business Bureau.
