The grand opening for the Downtown Atmore Arts and Entertainment District was held Sat., June 1.

After a ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Boxcar Willie, events began throughout the day downtown.

Shops were open, a glass blowing experience was held at the American Legion Pollinator Garden, bingo was played at Encore at the Strand, a free screening was played at the Strand, zumba, line dancing and karaoke were held at the Encore and live music was played at The Publican and The Coffee House LLC.

To cap off the night, the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce held its second annual Farm to Table event at the old Country Charms building on Ridgeley Street.
