OWA Parks & Resort is excited to partner with Magic Moments for the 6^th year in a row to host its “Beyond the Moment” event at the property on Friday, June 14^th. Magic Moments is the only wish-granting organization dedicated solely to the children of Alabama, providing fun events and activities throughout the state to children diagnosed with chronic life-threatening illnesses.

This annual event provides a wonderful family day out for its participants, offering children and their families time to celebrate and connect. This year, more than 275 guests will enjoy a fun-filled complimentary day at OWA’s Tropic Falls indoor and outdoor waterpark and theme park. “We are thrilled to partner with Magic Moments again this year to host these special guests from all over Alabama,” said Cathy Pavloski, OWA Parks & Resort Director of Marketing. “As we celebrate our 6^th year partnering with this amazing charity, our team members are again excited for the opportunity of spreading joy and smiles to these families who are struggling through challenging times by providing them with an exciting day at OWA,” said Mike Nease, Tropic Falls General Manager.

Through events like these, our Magic Moments families can participate in regional activities throughout the year at no expense to them, allowing the program to establish lasting relationships with the children and the families it serves in Alabama. “We look forward to these incredible days when we get to see the huge smiles, laughter and joy on everyone’s faces,” said Kimberly Etherton, Magic Moments Regional Director. “These events allow our families to escape their everyday lives for a day and just enjoy some fun. And OWA is the perfect place to do just that,” said Etherton.

Magic Moments was founded in 1984 with the sole purpose of providing happiness to children throughout Alabama who are diagnosed with chronic life-threatening illnesses. It is the only wish-granting organization dedicated solely to the children of Alabama. To date, Magic Moments has provided over 5,000 magic moments for children in all 67 counties of Alabama.
