An Atmore man was arrested on drug possession charges June 12, according to officials.
Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said at approximately 7:50 a.m. on the day of arrest, an APD officer on routine patrol on Medical Park Drive observed a vehicle driven by Quentin Williams, 46, of Atmore.
McMann said Williams had outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants with the APD.
“After taking Williams into custody, the officer discovered a white crystal-like substance that field tested positive for a crack cocaine and items used for ingesting narcotics,” McMann said.
McMann said Williams was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
