Three people suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle head-on collision on State Road 97 today in Walnut Hill, Fla., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the FHP, the driver of vehicle one, a 59-year-old male from Pensacola, Fla., was driving a Ford pickup and failed to stay within his lane going north on State Road 97. The driver of the second vehicle, a 42-year-old female of Camden and a 43-year-old passenger, were traveling south, also in a Chevy pickup.
According to the FHP, the Ford not staying in the lane caused a head-on collision, and three occupants were taken to local hospitals for medical attention.
FHP officials said criminal charges are pending.
Escambia Fire and Rescue, Fla. and Atmore Fire Department responded to the scene.
