City of Atmore to launch community newsletter

City of Atmore officials announced today the launch of a new community newsletter.

The newsletter is designed to keep residents informed and engaged with local news, events and updates from city officials, officials said in a release. The initiative is part of the city’s commitment to enhancing communication and fostering a sense of community.

The newsletter is called What’s Happening in Atmore, and will be a monthly publication featuring various content, including a message from the mayor, upcoming events, city projects, public safety updates and community spotlights, according to a release.

“We’re always looking for ways to keep our community informed and connected,” Mayor Jim Staff said in a release. “We aim to ensure every resident feels engaged and aware of what’s happening in our beautiful city.”

Residents can subscribe to the newsletter by visiting here, and it will also be available on the city’s website.

The first issue will be released today, Fri., June 28, 2024, and will focus on the city’s new residential garbage agreement with Waste Pro and what residents can expect.
