FNB&T hires new president, CEO

First National Bank and Trust has named a new president and CEO. The Board of Directors of First Suncoast Trust Bancshares, Inc. and subsidiary bank, First National Bank & Trust, have named Glen Davis to the job, which was vacated last year by Shep Marsh.

FNB&T Board Chairman Rob Faircloth said he feels the board has made a great move with Davis’ hiring.

“We are pleased to have Glen join First National Bank & Trust,” Faircloth said. “His community banking experience coupled with his business acumen, will serve our customers and communities well.”

According to information released by FNB&T, Davis has 38 years of banking experience, 20 of those years as president and CEO of community banks in central and southwest Alabama.  He and his wife, Judy, currently reside in Mobile but have plans to relocate to Atmore in the near future.  They have two daughters and four grandchildren.

Davis’s long list of service includes president of the Alabama Bankers Association, chairman of the Washington County Economic Development Initiative, advisory voard member of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, trustee of the Gulf Coast Exploreum and a past member of the board of directors of First National Bankers Bank in Birmingham, Alabama.  Davis is currently a member of the American Bankers Association’s Government Relations Council.

Davis himself said he and his family are excited about becoming a part of the Atmore community.

“My wife, Judy, and I are excited about our opportunity to join First National Bank & Trust,” Davis said. “We are looking forward to becoming residents of the Atmore area community.  With my background in community banking, it is a pleasure to be a part of a strong community bank that First National Bank & Trust is and will continue to be.”

Davis is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and the School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.
