Two men were arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday in the Huxford community, after being stopped for a minor traffic violation.

According to a press release from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, both Justin Baxter, 49, of James Mill Road in Castleberry, and Gary Gibson, 42, of Murphy Park Drive in Brewton, were arrested and bonded on scene for second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

According to the ECSO, Deputy Michael Sanderson had initiated a traffic stop for a minor violation in Huxford on Tuesday, when he immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana exiting the vehicle.

The vehicle and the two occupants were searched, and both were found to be in possession of marijuana.
