After a four-month long investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the Child Advocacy Center, an Atmore man has been arrested and charged with multiple child molestation and abuse charges.

Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said after a lengthy investigation into the allegations, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Sonney Wayne Pruett, 21. His charges include enticing a child, indecent exposure and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.

Lambert said Pruett was arrested on Feb. 2, and booked into the Escambia County Detention Center, where he remains on a $100,000 bond.
