Chotaw, Clarke, Conecuh, and Escambia Counties were to work together to bring new services to this area.

This was happening in 2008, just 10 years ago. It seems as if the organization has been going longer than that.

Carl and Erin Lambeth announced the birth of their son, Tucker Cain Lambeth. I believe they were from Pollard.

It was announced that Alan Baker was named to the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame. Good job, Alan. You deserved it.

The body of a man who had been missing since Jan. 1, was found in Conecuh County. There was an ongoing investigation but his death was thought to have been the result of natural causes. Three Brewton residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of AL 41 and Travis Road. We have several streets that are known to be slippery when it rains and everyone needs to be very careful.

Wal-Greens announced that they will open their doors here in Brewton on Feb. 15th.

Lastly, a reception was held for Dan Shaddock, Director of the YMCA, who retired after being there since 2002.

Dan was a very nice man and loved to be around people. Replacing him was Stephen Dickey, also a very nice man.
