A 15-year-old Atmore girl is being charged as an adult in an alleged armed robbery, which included holding a man at gunpoint in a St. Martin hotel room in Mississippi on Feb. 15, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a release that deputies responded to the Red Roof Inn on Cook Road about 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 15.

“There, they found a man from Gulfport (Miss.), who says two men robbed him of money inside the room, and they began fighting,” Ezell said. “The victim told deputies he was hit in the head and escaped the attackers by running down the stairs to the front desk, where he called for help.”
