Dear Editor:

Thank you could never come close to expressing our appreciation for our sponsors, auction contributors, donations and participants in our Zombie Walk event.

With the support of 28 walkers, eight costume contestants and countless visitors, bidders and volunteers, we were able to raise much-needed funds to help with the Habitat for Humanity mission.

A big thank you to our event sponsors Georgia-Pacific Brewton Mill, Country Place Senior Living and First United Methodist Church of Atmore. Our Friends of Habitat sponsors were Brewton Mill Federal Credit Union, Yank Lovelace, Hawsey Law, Kent Stallworth, James Detherage, and James and Stephanie Walker.

Those who made our silent auction a success included Joy Odom with Momo Art, University of Alabama, Auburn University, Ray’s Cleaners, Wind Creek Casino and Hotel and Cooking School, Southern Pine Electric Cooperative, Premier Designs by Mollie, Piggly Wiggly of East Brewton, Badcock Home Furnishings, AirGas, Bobby’s Guns and Ammo, Nalty’s Seasonings, Weaver’s, Antigone’s, The Flour Sack Bakery, Herrington’s the Floris, United Bank, Jus Do, Talula Belle’s and Habitat Restore.

We would also like to thank the city of Brewton for the use of Jennings Park – the perfect spot for the event.

Many other supporters made financial donations and donated their time and efforts to make this event a success.

As we continue to tally the results of this event, we know that the contributions, sponsorships and registration funds will bring us closer to helping those in need of safe, affordable housing achieve that dream.

Thank you all,

Lisa Tindell, executive director
