Smoking is a key risk factor for many chronic diseases. To aid smokers in their journey to quit, the Network provides smoking cessation classes led by certified Freedom from Smoking facilitators in Atmore and Bay Minette. The American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking program has a proven track record for helping people quit smoking even if they have been unsuccessful in the past.

Participants learn how to overcome tobacco addiction and start enjoying the benefits of better health. The 8-session program uses a small group setting with fun, interactive learning to help participants achieve their goal to quit smoking.  The dates for each session are Feb. 26, Mar 5, 12, 19, 21, 26, Apr. 2, 9.  Attendance to all sessions is strongly encouraged.

If you have ever had the desire to quit or if you suffer from a health condition that is made worse by your smoking, please make plans to attend.  You may come alone or with a spouse or support person.  After you complete the class our trained facilitators can provide ongoing support for up to 12 months to ensure your continued success.
