Evans, who has been a pilot for eight years, spoke to the youth at Houston Avery Park about his dream of being a pilot.

“I dreamed about being a pilot just as Martin Luther King had a dream,” he said. “If you have a dream, stick to the plan. Your plan A is your plan A, B and C. Never give up. Becoming a pilot has completely changed my life.”

Evans said the smiles on the kids faces were priceless, “and that’s what it’s all about.”

“This has truly been a memorable experience,” Atmore native Altouise McNeil.

Evans said he loves to expose young people to aviation so that they know that anything is possible for anybody.
