Mr. Jamal D’Onte Duggans, 18, of Brewton, answered the master’s call on Fri., Feb. 8, 2019, at Baptist Hospital-South in Montgomery as a result of a gunshot.

A native of Brewton, Jamal was born Feb. 8, 2001. He attended T.R. Miller High School. He enjoyed playing football, basketing and rapping.

Those left reflecting on memories of his young life are his mother, Tasha (Peterson) Duggans of Brewton; his father, Jerriod Duggans Sr. of Key West, Fla.; three brothers, Devonte Peterson and Reginald Smith Jr. both of Brewton, and Jerriod Duggans Jr. of Brunswick, Ga.; his grandmother, Martha Peterson of Brewton; his grandfathers, Gregory Jones of Fernandino, Fla. and Abraham Weston of Brewton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service was held Feb. 16, 2019, at Second St. Siloam Baptist Church in Brewton with the Rev. Willie J. Blue as host pastor and the Rev. Eric Andrews as eulogist.

Inhumation will be in Oak Grove Cemetery (Pearidge Community) in Brewton with Turner Funeral Chapel LLC of Atmore directing.
