Homecoming week

Escambia County and Northview High Schools are celebrating homecoming festivities this week.

The Blue Devils will take on Clarke County in a Class 4A, Region 1 contest, while the Chiefs host Walton, Fla.

Throughout the week, both schools held theme days for students and teachers.

The following were the theme days at ECHS: Monday, Meme Day; Tuesday, Generation Day (Freshmen like babies, Sophomores like toddlers, Juniors like adults and Seniors like senior citizens); Today, Wild Wild West; Thursday, Dress like Coach Scott Mason day; and Friday, Spirit Day.

The homecoming parade for ECHS will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, and will start at East Craig Street. The route then follows down Main Street to Lindberg Avenue, and then ends at Buck Powell Drive.

At Northview, the themes for the week include Monday, Merica Day; Tuesday, Color Wars; Today, Squad Day; Thursday, Preppy vs. Country; and Friday, Spirit Day.

Northview’s homecoming parade begins at 1:30 p.m. Friday from Bratt Elementary School.
