It’s going to be a cold night in the Atmore area.

According to the National Weather Service, the low tonight is slated to be 28 degrees.

Because of tonight’s low temperature, be sure to take care of your people, pets and plants. Check on the elderly to make sure they’re warm, bring your pets inside and cover any plants that can stay outside with a sheet or blanket.

For Friday’s forecast, the high will be 55 degrees with a low of 34 degrees.

Over the weekend, the weather will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.

The low for Saturday night is slated to be 48 degrees with a 50 percent chance of showers.

Sunday’s high is 62 degrees with a 43-degree low that night.
