Ballin’ for Cancer tips off Thursday

The Cancer Crushers and the Escambia County Blue Devils will take to the court on Thursday at Escambia County High School in the Ballin’ for Cancer game hosted by The Atmore Advance for Relay for Life.

The game will feature members of the community taking on the Blue Devils varsity squad that made it all the way to the Regional Tournament in Mobile in February.

The Cancer Crushers will include ECHS coaches Andy Lambert, Andrew Richey and Darryl Otwell; ECHS assistant principal Dale Jones; Lance Blackburn of First National Bank & Trust; Dale Johnson of United Bank; Bernard Bishop of Deliverance Ministry; Ross Terry, manager of the Atmore Area YMCA; Shane Hadley of Baldwin County Pest Control; Eugene Edwards of the Atmore Fire Department and The Atmore Advance’s Chandler Myers and Adam Prestridge.

Tickets will be $2 at the door with concessions available at the game with all proceeds going to Relay for Life.

Tip off is at 1:30 p.m.

The Atmore Advance will host Ballin' for Cancer on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Escambia County High School. The game is for Relay for Life.
