Babe Ruth blowouts

Greenlawn Home Care cruised their way to a 14-0 win over Poarch in recent Babe Ruth action.

Greenlawn led 2-0 after the first inning, 5-0 after the second inning and 14-0 after a nine-run fourth inning.

Trey Weeks earned the shutout win on the mound for Greenlawn as he went five innings and allowed no runs, two hits and struck out 11 while one and hitting one.

Dakota Barlow and Camron Armentor had the lone hits for Poarch in the loss. Chris Fay and Drake Hamilton pitched in the loss for Poarch.
At the plate for Greenlawn, Tristan McAnally had a triple and Weeks had a double.

Tyler Peebles had four singles and Grant Megginson had two singles. Jon Jon Griffis had two singles and a double.

Carney Lodge 8, NW Escambia 3
With the game tied 2-2 after four innings, Carney Lodge outscored NW Escambia 6-1 in the fifth inning to come away with an 8-3 win to improve their record this season.

Carney Lodge led NW Escambia 1-0 after the first inning before giving up two runs in the second to trail 2-1.

Carney Lodge rallied with one run in the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2 heading into the fifth.

In the fifth, Carney Lodge pounded out seven hits to score six runs and held NW Escambia to one run on one hit in the inning to get the win by five.

For Carney Lodge at the plate, Kianoa Gumapac, Ryan Johnson, Brett Gorum, and Thomas Booth all had a single each while Trey McGhee and Tristan McAnally had a double.

Kevin Gumapac had two singles, Trey Weeks had three singles and Tyler Peebles had two singles and a double.

For NW Escambia, Barnes (no first name supplied) had a single and a double while Matt Lee had a double and T. Brown (no first name supplied) added a single in the loss.

Atmore Utilities Board 13, NW Escambia 5
The Atmore Utilities Board team scored eight runs in the fourth inning to break a 5-all tie en route to a 13-5 win over NW Escambia.

NW Escambia led the Utilities Board 2-1 after the first inning but saw their lead vanish after a four-run second inning for the Utilities Board to tie the game at 5-all after three runs from NW Escambia.

After a scoreless third inning for both teams, Atmore Utilities plated eight runs in the fourth and held NW Escambia scoreless to get the win.

At the plate for AUB, Nytorious Cooler had two singles while Ladarian Johnson and Devon Robinson had two singles each.

Eric Williams had a double and Randy Johnson had a single. Levi Soloman added two singles in the win.

For NWE, Ryder Gifford and Mark Lee had two singles each while Zack Holland had a double.
Chris Brown, Nathan Barnes and Matt Lee had three singles each.

 Carney Lodge 12, PCI 1
Carney Lodge held PCI to no hits in a 12-1 win Monday night in recent Babe Ruth action.

Along with being held to no hits, PCI’s lone run came in the second inning while Carney Lodge scored three in the first, two in the second, three in the third and four in the fourth to get the win by 11.

For Carney Lodge, JP Sawyer had a triple, Brett Gorum had two singles and a double, Nate Smith, Trey McGhee, Ryan Johnson and Ben Martin all had singles.

Kianoa Gumapac had a triple and Thomas Booth had a double.

Ben Martin was the winning pitcher for CL.

Greenlawn Home Care 7, Jerry’s Alignment Center 3
A four-run first inning for Greenlawn Home Care paved the way to a 7-3 win over Jerry’s Alignment Center.

GHC led 4-0 after the first inning and 6-2 after two innings. After taking a 7-3 lead after three innings, Jerry’s added one run in the fifth, but GHC was able to hang on for the four-run win.

Chasen Freeman, Andrew Edwards, Tanner Smith, Aaron McDonald, Brodie Amos and Christian Thorpe all had singles in the loss for Jerry’s.

For Greenlawn, Tristan McAnally, Trey Weekes, Newt Lambeth and Hayden Hammond all had singles.

NW Escambia 9, PCI 5
NW Escambia improved their record with a 9-5 win over PCI Tuesday.

NWE scored three runs each in the first three innings while holding PCI to two runs in the third and three in the fourth.

NWE pounded out nine hits in the win with Ryder Gifford leading the way with two singles.

Mark Lee, Chris Brown, Blake Green, Nathan Barnes, Devin Stabler, Zack Holland and Ben Stott all added a single each in the win.

For PCI in the loss, Chris Faye had three single while Nathan Williams and Tyler Jackson had one single each.
