Two people were injured in a late afternoon car accident Tuesday, according to officials with the Atmore Police Department.

The two vehicles, a four-door pickup truck and an SUV, collided on North Main Street, near Ashley Street, at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Both vehicles sustained damage to their front ends. The severity of the injuries sustained by the drivers is not yet known.
