ATMORE – Mrs. Rosie Lee Grimes, 80, of Atmore was called home March 27, 2011 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born in Beatrice to Jessie Abner and Betty (Lock) Smith. She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, four daughters, Annie Grimes, Dorothy Lucas, Betty (Harold) Cox and Debra (Maurice) Baldwin, all of Atmore; three sons, Bobby Grimes and Willie Grimes, both of Atmore and Joseph (Voncille) Grimes of Birmingham; one sister, Minnie Parker of Atmore; 22 grandchildren; one great-great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where Evangelist Betty Cox was Eulogist.

Interment was held in the Fairview Cemetery.

Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directed.
