Investigators with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department are working to uncover what led to the sudden death of a 3-week-old girl in Perdido Thursday morning.

According to published reports paramedics were called to a home on Dan Hadley Rd. around 4 a.m. after the girl’s parents reported finding their infant daughter unresponsive in her crib.

The girl was pronounced dead a short time later at North Baldwin Infirmary.

Although the cause of death has not yet been determined, an autopsy is expected and the case remains under investigation by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s office.
