PENSACOLA, Fla. – Mrs. Rosie Lee Mitchell, 65, of Atmore transitioned into eternal life on Friday, Jan. 6 at the Rosewood Manor Nursing Home in Pensacola, Fla.

Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Atmore and a member of the Pleasant Hill (Full Gospel) Baptist Church on Hwy 21. She attended the Pleasant Hill School for years and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Atmore Nursing Center.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Mitchell, a son, Randy Mitchell, and her parents, James B. And Clara Bell Bulard.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Mitchell, Sr., of Atmore; sons Larry Mitchell, Jr., of Pensacola, Leo Mitchell, of Mobile, and Arthur and Darren Mitchell, both of Atmore; a step-daughter, Teace Tate, of Bay Minette; five sisters, Clara Young and Emilyree Montgomery, both of Atmore, Mary Dailey, of Dayton, OH, Helen Cook, of Pensacola, and Minnie Hines, of Birmingham; five brothers, Lee Bullard, of Pensacola, James Bullard and Carl Bullard, both of Dayton, OH, John Bullard and Eddie James Bullard, both of Atmore; 24 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Baptist Church with Rev. Donzell Young, eulogist Rev. Freddie Banks, Host Pastor. Retirement of her remains will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Her body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Public viewing will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Turner Funeral Chapel LLC directing.
