Jimmie Lee (J.J.) McDonald died Wednesday, July 11, 2012. McDonald was one of twelve children born to William and the late Louise McDonald of Little River.

He was preceded in death by: His mother, Louise McDonald; two sisters, Mary Dortch and Annie McDonald Owens.

McDonald was survived by: His father, William McDonald; six sisters, Marilyn (David) Knotts of Walnut Hill, Judy Haynes of Atmore, Linda McDonald and Katherine Green, both of Panama City, Fla., Willie Mae Benjamin ofAtmore, and Helen McDonald of Seattle; two brothers, Theodore and A.C. McDonald, both of Atmore; two adopted sisters, Essie Mae Johnson and Linda Faye French, both of Atmore; two adopted brothers, Derrick Bishop and Calvin Williams, both of Atmore; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing will be Tuesday, July 17, from 1 until 7 p.m. at Mayberry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at the Holy Community Church with Apostle Jimmy C. Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery with Mayberry Funeral Home directing.
