Escambia County High School Cheerleading Captain Tiffany McReynolds is excited about her first chance to both fly on an airplane and travel abroad; and she will do so on the wings, as it were, of her cheering talents after being selected as part of the top twelve percent of United Cheer  Association members.

McReynolds earned the honor following ECHS’ latest summer camp at Auburn University, after which she was selected as an All-American and invited to take part in the holiday parade scheduled for this Christmas season in London, England.

Tiffany McReynolds is currently working to raise funds for a trip to London.

Now, on the heels of her big award, McReynolds is working to raise money to fund her trip.

“I tried out with at least 50 other girls,” she said. “And I was ecstatic to hear my name called as an All-American. Now I’m trying to raise enough money for me and my mom, and maybe my cheer coach to go.”

And she has a long way to go as the cost of the seven-day trip, from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2 will cost approximately $4,000 dollars per person.

But McReynolds is undeterred by the large amount, announcing this week she and her mother will hold a bake sale at the next “Market in the Park” event held in Atmore on Saturday, Aug. 11. The pair has also launched a facebook page (To London and Back) and are planning several other fundraising ventures in the coming months.
