Chiefs battle on court in Catholic tourney

The Northview boys’ basketball team finished the Catholic Christmas Classic tournament with a 1-2 record to drop to 6-5 on the season after a 5-0 start.

The Chiefs’ lost their first game to Godby, out of Tallahassee, Fla., 70-34, but rebounded to take a 65-60 win over LaSalle, before falling to Escambia High School 47-41.

The Chiefs travel to Holmes County to take on the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Their next home game is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 against Jay.
The Chiefs will try to get back on track versus the Blue Devils and Royals, led by their leading scorer Neino Robinson.

Robinson, a junior guard who transfered to Northview this year from Flomaton, was averaging 38 points a game coming into last week’s tournament.
