ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Ms. Thelma Peoples, 69, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Atmore, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Suncoast Hospice.

Ms. Peoples was a native of Atmore and a 1963 graduate of Escambia County Training School.

Those left to cherish her memories are two sisters, Mary (Willie) Dennis of Atmore and Alice Pugh of Tampa; three brothers, Walker (Lillie) Peoples of Atmore, Robert Peoples and Hazley Peoples, both of Tampa.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Longmire/Jones Memorial Chapel of Turner Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Davis, pastor of Mt. Gillead Baptist Church, officiating. Inhumation will be in the Little Jerusalem Church #1 Cemetery in Evergreen with  Turner Funeral Chapel LLC of Atmore directing.
