“We batted around twice in the second,” said Coach Tim Battles. “Out leadoff hitter got up three times. We got 19 girls to the plate.”

Alethia gave up four walks during the second inning. ACS scored six runs in the third, ending the game early.

The Lady Rams hit 15-of-27 as a team in the win, while starting pitcher Karrie Hillburn gave up one hit to Aletheia. She gave up one run in the bottom of the third after a leadoff walk, two groundouts and a single scored the runner.

The game ended with a pop out.

The Lady Rams took advantage of poor pitching Monday in a 16-0 win over East Hill Academy.

“We scored 12 runs in the first inning and literally didn’t hit the ball,” Battles said.

The two wins improve the Lady Rams to .500 on the year, but have also helped raise the team’s batting average from .111 after opening day to .322. The team improves to 2-1 in the conference.
