The Escambia Academy Cougars have hit the football field for spring training in preparation for their second year under Head Coach Hugh Fountain.

The Cougars will be working to find ways to replace several graduating seniors, including quarterback Michael Thompson.

EA finished last season with a 6-5 record after losing their first three games before rallying to win six of their next eight. They were knocked from the AISA playoffs by Tuscaloosa Academy, who went on to win the state championship.
