Lawrence Beauford Davis, 82, of Atmore, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He was born in Atmore on Oct. 9, 1931, to the late Charles Lee and Mattie Matheny Davis.

Survivors are his wife, Janice R. Davis; one son, Larry (Phyllis) Davis; four daughters, Laura (Travis) Roberson, Michelle Wingard, Tabith J. Edy and Debbie Neal; one sister, Pat Johnson and a number of grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Barrancas National Cemetery, with full military honors and the Rev. Joe Welch officiating. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday Oct. 14, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
