James Randall ‘Ike’ Ikner

James Randall “Ike” Ikner, 55, of Elizabethtown, Ky., died Saturday Oct. 26, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

He was a native of Century, Fla., who served 20 years in the U. S. Army. After retirement from the military he worked Civil Service. He was a 19 Delta Cavalry Scout who served in Desert Storm, Bosnia, and was stationed in Germany for 13 years. He was a Bronze Star Recipient.

His father, Bobby Ray Ikner, and step-father, Grady Simms, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nathalie Nasse Ikner; mother and stepfather, Martha and David Lail of Century, Fla.; son, James Randall (Megan) Ikner Jr. of Ft. Carson, Colo; stepdaughter, Jessica (William) Adams of Clarksville, Tenn.; two daughters, DeAnn Ikner and Tiffany (Eric) Rydowsky, both of Flomaton; sister, Ann (Regi) Burkett of Century, Fla; three grandchildren, Alexis Adams, Nichole Rydowsky and Madlyn Rydowsky; niece, Casey Roach of Holt, Fla; and a nephew, Ryan Burkett of Grand Ridge, Fla.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home, in Elizabethtown. Cremation was chosen by the family. Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
