Northwest Florida native and Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Caleb Gindl will host a baseball clinic Saturday at Northiew High School.
Northview Diamond Club President David Preston said the clinic is open to ages 9 to 17 and spots are still available.
The clinic, which is $40 per participant and includes lunch, will cover fundamentals, such as hitting, catching and pitching as well as regular fundamentals and instruction.
“This is the first time Caleb has done this,” Preston said. “He has been wanting to come back and give back to the community and we wanted to provide an opportunity for youth here to take advantage of this.”
In addition to community participation, members of the Northview baseball team, which was a game away from making a final four appearance last season, will participate in the clinic and have some private time with Gindl as well.
The clinic, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, will include other local baseball players and others, Preston said.
